Fruit Bread Pudding

Bring us some figgy pudding! This updated classic is sure to become a new holiday favorite. Festive figs (or dates, if you prefer) are baked with eggs, milk, sugar and vanilla into a creamy home-style dessert. Serve warm or at room temperature with whipped cream or vanilla sauce. And don't forget to save some for Santa!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup toasted, half-inch bread cubes
  • 1/2 cup Kellogg's® All-Bran® Original cereal
  • or 1/2 cup Kellogg's® All-Bran® Bran Buds® cereal
  • 1/2 cup chopped dates or figs
  • 2 eggs, well-beaten
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons margarine or butter, melted

Directions

1. Combine bread cubes, KELLOGG'S ALL-BRAN cereal and fruit. Spread in shallow 1 1/2-quart casserole or shallow baking pan coated with cooking spray.

2. Beat together eggs, milk, sugar, salt, vanilla and margarine. Pour over bread cubes.

3. Bake at 375° F about 1 hour or until set. Serve warm or cold with whipped cream, if desired.
